Best Evidence

The U.S. Senate had created The Senate Select Committee on Assassinations in 1978 to investigate the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King in the ‘60’s.

Their report concluded that there was more than likely another assassin besides Lee Harvey Oswald who was involved in John F. Kennedy’s (JFK) assassination.  There was a recording of the shots fired and it showed more than three shots had been fired, and that had been the conclusion of the Warren Commission.  This got me interested in reading more.

One day I saw a book with a light on it.  David Lipton had been reading through the Warren Commission Report and its 26-Volume evidentiary texts.  He came across an FBI memo written by one of the agents present during JFK’s autopsy, stating that it was evident that an autopsy had been performed on JFK before this one taking place at Bethesda Medical Center.

He proceeded to investigate the claim and came to the conclusion that another autopsy had been performed first.  He also followed the trail, interviewing witnesses and explaining how this occurred, which showed beyond a doubt a conspiracy had occurred.

He titled his book, “Best Evidence,” as the best evidence of a crime of murder was in fact the body.  In this case, he showed how the body had been altered in order to fit the conspirators’ cover-up.  This book started me down the path in search for the truth of the JFK assassination.  Being intuitive, I had never believed LHO had ever even fired a shot.
